Our Operating Structure
Our care-center business model is what makes our large, multispecialty practice stand out from other group practices you may have considered in the past.
Hudson MD Group is a single group practice operating under a single taxpayer identification number (TIN) but consisting of distinct care centers, each of which constitutes a separate, satellite office location operated by our physician members. All professional medical services provided at each care center will be billed by Hudson MD Group under its TIN.
Owners of medical practices that join Hudson MD Group will become Hudson MD Group members, and all its associate physicians are nonmembers. Our physician members maintain their autonomy within their care center and have ownership over patient care and treatments delivered, as well the management of its staff. The former practice entities will remain in existence to serve as a holding company for the assets utilized at the care center, such as offices, furniture, equipment, computers, and leases.
Each Hudson MD Group physician member will receive a monthly draw and monthly true-up based on care center profits. Revenue collections will be distributed to each care center after deducting its direct expenses and allocated share of common overhead.
